GARSTANG WALKING FESTIVAL - MAY
Come and visit Garstang in May for our Walking
Festival, which attracts more and more people each year. The festival
includes short walks, easy walks, long walks, children’s events, canal
boat trips, health walks, themed walks and much more. For further

THE CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL - MAY
This
popular festival is held at Whitsuntide, the last Bank Holiday Weekend in
May. The highlight is the procession of decorative floats that travel
around the town with children in bright costumes supporting their gala
queen. For the children there are sports events and danving
competitions, and the adults can even join in the fancy dress competition.

THE GARSTANG SHOW - AUGUST
Reputedly one of the Best One Day Shows in the Region, the Garstang
Show has been running for almost 200 years and is a spectacular ecent in
the locla Annual Calendar. From 8.00 am until 9.00 pm you can see
Shire Horses, Show Jumping, Vintage Tractors, Children's Activities, and
much more. The event
attracts in the region of 15,000 spectators making it a superb day out

GARSTANG ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL -
AUGUST
This event is a weeklong event held every August.
The week is packed with old favourites such as the outdoor evening
concert from Morecambe Band, music from John Towers Big Band. On market
day and both Saturdays you’ll be sure to spot a street entertainer -
magician, musician or a live band. Get involved in the workshops on
offer, or just relax and watch the local artists at work around town.

GARSTANG FOOD FESTIVAL - OCTOBER
Garstang hosts a Food Festival in
October half-term week each year. The weeklong festival will include workshops,
local produce market, special
menus, competitions and food tasting for all food fans. Experience the
delight of Garstang’s quality local produce including Dew-Lay cheese.

VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL - DECEMBER
This festival draws hundreds and hundreds of people
each year. This is held in the week before Christmas and even Santa
Claus pays a visit to the children! The traditional hog roast and hot
roasted chestnuts are a few culinary delights to try. The main High
Street is closed off to traffic so visitors can roam freely and safely
through the historic weinds and visit the shops to grab some last minute
