ARTS CENTRE
The Centre was originally the Grammar School, built
in 1756. The central porch gives it a cottage look. The school closed in
1930, and was opened as an arts centre in 1969. It is open to the
community on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays serving refreshments and
exhibits many local artists. The centre is also home for many local
groups ranging from painting to writing, photography to light opera. For

LEISURE CENTRE
Garstang Leisure Centre was established in
September 1985 and hosts a variety of activities; including badminton,
football, netball, table tennis and volleyball. The centre also runs
5-a-side football leagues and indoor bowls leagues. We also have a wide
range of aerobic and martial arts classes in the day time and evenings.
Within the centre, we have a small, but compact gym with 9 stations.
Garstang Badminton Club use the facilities for league matches and
training, and we also have a netball and volleyball club using the
centre too. The centre is also available for private hire for birthday

GARSTANG LIBRARY
This is situated on Windsor Road, Garstang. 01995
604052. Garstang Library is a purpose built library, opened in 1976 by
Mr Walter Clegg who was the MP for North Fylde. It replaced an older
library on High Street. The reference library was converted into an IT
suite in 1999. Garstang Library is live on the People's Network. It has
16 PCs connected to the People's Network and its book collection
features Adult Fiction, Adult Non Fiction, Junior Fiction, Junior
Non-fiction and Large Print,

GOLF CLUB
Garstang has a fine 18-hole Golf Course as part of
the Garstang Country Hotel and Golf Course. The site also features a

Garstang Sk8 Park is situated next to the Leisure
Centre on Windsor Road. It is open to everyone, is free to use and is
available all year round,

SWIMMING POOL
Garstang Swimming Centre was opened in September
1974 and was built for the community of Garstang - for both public and
school usage; the 20m four lane swimming pool is suitable for all levels
of competency - our programme includes early bird swimming, swimming
lessons for all ages, aqua aerobics, fun swims, adults only and parent
and toddler groups.
The pool is also available for private hire for birthday parties,
schools and groups. We have various clubs that use the pool including
Garstang Swimming Club, Fernleigh, Garstang High School and Myerscough
College.
Our Full Membership allows unlimited swimming and
aqua aerobics here at the centre as well as unlimited aerobics and
fitness classes and free use of the gym at neighbouring Garstang YMCA
