Chamber of Trade
The Chamber of Trade and Commerce was formed in 1974. We have over 100 members and are still recruiting more, both commercial and professional. We are a growing association that has the common aim of supporting one another and representing our combined interests in the community. We also provide the local community with information on shops, services and events in and around Garstang.
We receive no public funding and rely entirely on the subscriptions of our members in order to operate. All our officers give their time on a voluntary basis. The benefits of membership give individual businesses the opportunity to be represented within one group. Being non-political the Chamber can support any local issues, which may affect the business community.
The Chamber meets quarterly, normally on the first Monday of February, August and November and the second Monday of May to discuss matters of mutual interest. Meetings are held in the Royal Oak private room and start at 5.50pm for 6.00pm and finish at 7.00pm with tea and coffee refreshments. These 4 meetings during the year are a great place to chat and 'network' with other business owners.
The Chambers own website, a one stop site for Garstang and District, learn what is going on in and around the town with a very useful directory of members services. Each member has an advertising page included in membership.
