The Chamber of Trade and Commerce was formed in
1974.
We have over 100 members and are still recruiting more members, both
commercial and professional. We are a growing association that has the
common aim of supporting one another and representing our combined
interests in the community. We also provide the local community with
information on shops, services and events in and around Garstang.
We receive no public funding and rely entirely on
the subscriptions of our members in order to operate. All our officers
give their time on a voluntary basis. The benefits of membership give
individual businesses the opportunity to be represented within one
group. Being non-political the Chamber can support any local issues,
which may affect the business community.
The Chamber meets monthly, normally on the first
Monday of the Month, to discuss matters of
local interest. Meetings are held
in the Royal Oak private room and are planned to last for no more than
one hour. At the end of the meeting there is a networking opportunity
over the delicious free sandwiches!
