Cheese: We have over 120
cheeses, both English and Continental, including around 20 different
Lancashires from all the best local producers and fresh from the farm.
Come and see our Specials Board with some really unusual cheeses, just
to introduce something a little different, we change this at regular
intervals. Past Specials have included ‘Stinking Bishop’, ‘Epoisse’,
‘Munster’, 'Milleens’ and 'Coquetdale' to name just a few. Come and talk to
Maureen and our friendly staff for ideas for your cheese board or dinner
party.
Eggs: Our eggs come from a local farm who deliver to us once or
twice a week ensuring perfect freshness always. Local Duck Eggs are also
available when in season.
Delicatessen: Our delicatessen counter has a great selection of
Prepared Salads from coleslaw to crab surumi, Pates, local Yoghurts
(including sugar-free), Fresh Cream, local Farm Butter, Olive Mixes, Sun
Dried Tomatoes, and of course highest quality hand-carved Turkey and
Ham.
Preserves: Another exciting feature to our business is our
Preserve Stand which boasts a huge array of Honeys, from local One-hive
honey (when in season), to the famous New Zealand Manuka Honey - and
many in between. We also have many Jams, Marmalades, Chutneys, Relishes,
Pickles, Curds and even Honeycomb to choose from.
Christmas Gifts: Why not take advantage of our unique service? We
can make up a basket of seasonal Mini Cheeses mixed with any of our huge
selection of Jams, Honeys, Marmalades and Preserves to create a
