Nestling near Garstang in the heart of the picturesque village of Scorton is the award winning Barn at Scorton, one of the region’s finest examples of farm diversification.  We are a Plant Centre, Gift Shop, Coffee Shop and Orchard Garden and the village’s main tourist attraction housed in sympathetically restored, 19th Century stone barns.

Plant Centre – We specialise in herbaceous perennials, both rare varieties and old cottage garden varieties. There are also genuine Old Roses.  Our staff are trained in horticulture to Degree level with wide ranging practical experience, they are always approachable and keen to help you choose your plants.

Orchard Garden - Following on from the plant centre is The Orchard Garden, an oasis of colourful herbaceous borders open to the public, where many of the plants on sale can be seen growing in their natural state.

Garden Centre - There is a conservatory stocked with a straight-forward range of goods that cover the essentials of gardening, designed to make it simpler for the customer to find what they need.

Gift Shop - The gift shop offers a huge range of gifts to suit all tastes and pockets.  Furnished with old dressers set against the original stone walls there is a warmth and character.  As well as offering speciality jams, pickles and preserves, Wallings famous ice-cream.

Coffee Bar - The hub of the shop area is the Coffee Bar, sited in the old Shippon.  We serve cappuccino, espresso and filter coffees; speciality teas; soft drinks; home baked cakes; home-made soup and the renowned home-made scones as well as soup and light lunches.  The new upstairs gallery makes a snug little hide-away.

You will find us between Garstang and Lancaster just off the A6, turn off at either the Ball & Hargreaves garage or the little chef.

To make life easier for customers The Barn has a large, free car park for the use of anyone who shops there.  With so much to offer the visitor, it is no wonder that The Barn has become such a popular meeting point.  Experience the difference
